O St. Oberholz BLOK 0

Together with Sparda-Bank Berlin, we designed the BLOK O and operate it on behalf of the financial institution. It is the first coworking space in Germany to include a bank branch and the first in Frankfurt Oder at all. Café, coworking, events, conferences and banking take place in the striking post-modern GDR building on the main road. A new and unique community is emerging here. For the bank, BLOK O also represents the inclusion of the most important fields of action: Cooperative and new work. And all of this right on the border with Poland.

In the 1960s, the BLOK O building was operated as a children's department store. Quite a few Frankfurters can still remember this usage. Today, transformed, the place is again accessible to everyone, even without children's clothes.
